Your objective is to take texture photographs. You will learn about texture through reading the above article. If you do not understand what texture in photography is, you need to read the article again.
You will take two photographs of the same texture. One photograph will be a close-up shot that focuses on just the texture. Zoom in very close to the texture. The texture should be the focal point, in an abstract manner. The second photograph will be the same texture, but you will step back and include more information in the shot. This second photograph is like a story. Texture is the focal point, but you include some background to tell your viewers more about the texture (where it is or what it is).
Find and take photographs of 4 different textures. You will have a total of eight photographs, two for each texture.
